About us<\/h1><\/div>

Hertsens Transport, an eventful life.<\/h2><\/div>

Hertsens Transport is a Belgian company operating in BeNeLux, France, Britain and with expansion into Eastern Europe. Made big from waste transport, but now invariably expanding into transporting ‘clean goods’. Thus, we are also the market leader in ‘Walking Floor’ transport.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

At the beginning of 2023 we welcomed 8 new Mercedes tractors, with all luxury and safety systems for our drivers.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

2021<\/h3><\/div>
<\/span><\/div>

2021 is the year why Filip, Caroline and Alexander Hertsens founded the Blitz company. Under the leadership of Alexander, this company provides charging stations for electric vehicles throughout the country.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

2018<\/h3><\/div>
<\/span><\/div>

In the beautiful spring of 2018, we once again put all the cameras on alert to showcase our substantially revamped fleet of Mercedes and Volvo once more in a beautiful light.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

2015<\/h3><\/div>
<\/span><\/div>

Caroline Hertsens the youngest daughter graduated from college in SME management and focuses on the administration around all projects in the real estate branch, and is also contact person for all rental matters.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

2014<\/h3><\/div>

Alexander Hertsens the eldest son graduated from college in Logistics management and will now take on the general management of Hertsens transport, leading the commercial tasks and planning.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

2012 – Acquisition of Dedijcker and Foronex<\/h3><\/div>

In the summer of 2012, we added the transport operations of two companies in one fell swoop. Namely The WalkingFloor operations of DeDijcker Transport as well as those of Foronex. The group is thus further expanding in Waste Transport and is also acquiring a strong foothold in the transport of Wood and Wood Dust.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

2012<\/h3><\/div>

Filip Hertsens graduated in Electromechanics and will from now on take over the reins in the garage as head of the garage.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Our (perhaps?) last moving took place on 14 February 2004, about 1 km from exit 16 off the E17 motorway, a very important one in terms of merchandise transport.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

In 1999, \u2018Transport Hertsens\u2019 went international. Ship container transport etc. was gathered within a new company: \u2018Alfitra NV\u2019, whose head office was in Luithagen in Antwerp.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

1994<\/h3><\/div>

Our establishment in Doel quickly became too small and too remote. For that reason, we moved to Lindenstraat in Zwijndrecht in 1994. For ten years, Zwijndrecht was \u2018our home\u2019.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Then there was an invitation to tender for home waste transport for the City of Antwerp. Thanks to this, \u2018Transport Hertsens\u2019 appeared on the waste scene. Transport towards places which are not easily accessible, such as rubbish tips, became one of our specialities. Our work method and our excellent service quickly generated our good reputation. As a consequence, nearly all active holdings in the field of recycling daily resorted to our services in the meantime.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

The company bought its first lorries, Mercedes 6\u00d76.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

1988<\/h3><\/div>

In 1988, they expanded to road and infrastructure works. This was a great development, which required transport facilities for machines and merchandise. This is how \u2018Transport Hertsens\u2019 was born. Arnold Hertsens was at the head of the company. For all maintenance and repair works, we resorted to our own mechanics who were united as the \u2018Hertsens Services SPRL\u2019 company.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

1978<\/h3><\/div>
<\/span><\/div>

In 1978, the Hertsens family joined up its forces and evolved from existing agricultural activities to work on demand in the agricultural branch. In a difficult period, they worked by subcontracting for entrepreneurs and companies with their excavators.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
